Salley Stewart

We are pleased to announce the addition of Salley Stewart, Registered Nurse Practitioner to the Watson Wellness Integrative Medicine practice. Salley brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare, community education and leadership to the progressive services offered in our practice.

After many years of practice as a registered nurse, Salley received training as a nurse practitioner at Harbor-ULCA Medical Center.  Upon completion she served in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the UCLA/David Geffen School of Medicine as a clinical supervisor and instructor for medical residents.  Subsequently she practiced in community clinics providing care to underserved populations and in private medical practice in Santa Monica specializing in obstetrics, gynecology and urogynecology.  Before joining our group, Salley returned to UCLA to work in the Department of Urology providing care for male and female disorders of the bladder and pelvis.

When asked about her vision for the future of healthcare, Salley speaks passionately about the need for an holistic approach to health and treatment of disease; addressing the need to become aware of the influences, environment, lifestyle and habits that lead to wellness and the prevention illness. “Knowledge is power”, is her slogan. “I try to empower my patients with knowledge about their own self care and to establish healthy habits through all stages of life. Combining the knowledge of Western science and other complimentary healing methods, we are becoming more conscious about ways in which we can chart a course toward long-term wellness and a better quality of life.”

Many of our patients are interested in treatment options for menstrual problems, menopausal symptoms, pelvic pain, overactive bladder, incontinence, pelvic prolapse and other gynecologic issues that are of special interest and expertise for Salley.
Salley is working closely with Dr. Watson in managing the patient care. Salley consults with Dr. Watson regularly and reviews the recommendations for each patient. She has a kind, compassionate and caring manner and those patients who have met her have been happy and felt cared for. We welcome you to make an appointment with her, especially if one of the Dr. Watson is unavailable.
